JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you a Service Technician with a knack for problem-solving and a commitment to customer satisfaction? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
As our Service Technician, you will be the “Problem-Solving Pro”, playing a pivotal role in our organization. You will report directly to the Customer Service & Sales Manager, working on warranty work orders, punch lists, and local work orders that include both service on existing jobs/buildings and new installations.
Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including installing small storefronts, storefront doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, cutting glass in-house, and delivering to customers. You will also be responsible for measuring jobs, testing for water leaks, diagnosing problems, figuring out why a system is leaking, why a shower door is rubbing, why a door won’t close, and much more.
You must be a problem solver, experienced, great with time, have a great appearance, and possess top-notch customer communication skills. You will also need the ability to communicate back to the customer service and sales rep regarding time on the job, expenses, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Customer Service & Sales Manager, providing updates and insights as needed.
Work on warranty work orders, punch lists, and local work orders that include both service on existing jobs/buildings and new installations.
Handle a variety of tasks, including installing small storefronts, storefront doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, cutting glass in-house, and delivering to customers.
Measure jobs, test for water leaks, diagnose problems, and figure out why systems are leaking, why shower doors are rubbing, why doors won’t close, etc.
Communicate effectively with the customer service and sales rep regarding time on the job, expenses, etc.

Experience:
- Minimum of three years' experience in commercial glazing
- Experience with storefront windows and other glazing systems
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read shop drawings, schematics, and customer instructions
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills
- Professional appearance
- Ability to deal with stressful situations

Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift heavy glass panels regularly
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 80 pounds)
- Must be very physically fit as the job requires heavy lifting and often working outdoors

- Valid driver’s license
- Must be insurable
